Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-05
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Rovvi collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to everything we run under rovvi.dev andtraining.rovvi.net — the AI training course, the AI Ambassador marketplace (where customers find AI Advisors and Project Managers), and Protected Payments, our milestone escrow. It is the companion to our Terms of Service andCookie Policy. It is not legal advice.
By using Rovvi you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
Who we are
Rovvi operates the training course and the AI Ambassador marketplace and acts as the data controller for the account and platform data described below. When you engage another user through the marketplace — for example a Customer hiring an AI Advisor — each party is an independent controller of the information the other shares with them directly to do the work.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you create an account. We never store your password in plain text.
- Profile & listing information — for AI Advisors and Project Managers: your business or display name, the service categories and skills you list, your public advisor profile, and the answers you provide when applying to the program. This information is deliberately public on the marketplace so customers can find you.
- Course & learning data — your lesson progress, quiz and assessment results, completion status, and any certificates you earn.
- Project & escrow data — projects you post or accept, scopes, phases/milestones, estimates, messages exchanged about the work, and the record of funds held and released in escrow.
- Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. Rovvi doesnot receive or store your full card number, CVC, or bank credentials. We do receive and store limited billing metadata from Stripe (for example a payment/customer identifier, the last four digits and card brand, subscription and invoice status) so we can operate memberships, escrow, and refunds.
- Communications — messages you send us (for example through the contact page or support requests) and, where applicable, transactional emails we send you.
- AI interactions — when you use AI-assisted features (such as the advisor-qualification helper), the inputs you provide are processed to produce a response. We do not use your private project content to train third-party foundation models.
- Technical & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar log data, collected automatically to keep the service secure and working. See theCookie Policy for the specific cookies we set.
How we use your information
- To provide the service — run your account, deliver course content, publish advisor listings, match customers with advisors, and operate projects.
- To operate payments and escrow — take membership payments, hold project funds, release milestones, issue refunds or project credits, and prevent payment fraud.
- To issue certificates and record your learning achievements.
- To keep the platform secure — authenticate sign-ins, detect abuse, and enforce our Terms and marketplace rules (including mediation of disputes).
- To communicate with you — service and transactional messages, and, where you have opted in or where permitted, occasional product updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email at any time.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: contract (to provide the service you signed up for), legitimate interests (to secure the platform, prevent fraud, and improve the product),legal obligation (tax, accounting, and compliance), and consent (for any optional communications, which you can withdraw at any time).
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Between marketplace participants — when you engage another user, the information needed to do the work (your listing, project scope, messages, and identity to the counterparty) is shared with that user. Advisor and PM profiles are public by design.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract and only for these purposes: Stripe (payments and escrow), Cloudflare (hosting, content delivery, and security), and Brevo (transactional and account email).
- Legal & safety — where required by law, subpoena, or regulator, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Rovvi, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if Rovvi is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as long as needed to provide the service. After closure we retain what we must for legitimate business and legal reasons — for example, transaction, escrow, tax, and accounting records are kept for the periods required by law; dispute and mediation records are kept to enforce our Terms. We delete or anonymize data when it is no longer needed.
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), hashed passwords, access controls, and a payment flow that keeps card data with Stripe rather than on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and regulators of a breach where the law requires.
Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR/UK GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information (much of it you can edit in your profile directly);
- Delete your information, subject to records we must legally keep;
- Export a copy of your information in a portable format;
- Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent for optional communications;
- Be free from being sold or discriminated against for exercising these rights — we do not sell personal information.
To exercise any of these, contact us through the contact page. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe the applicable law requires.
Cookies
Rovvi uses cookies that are essential to run the training and our brokering services — sign-in, security, escrow, and your light/dark preference. Because they are essential, using Rovvi requires them. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Full details are in theCookie Policy.
International transfers
Rovvi and our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for those transfers.
Children
Rovvi is not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or transact on the marketplace. We do not knowingly collect information from children; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are posted here with a new "last updated" date, and where the law requires, we will notify you. Your continued use of Rovvi after an update means you accept the revised policy.
